Cucku Backup Command Line
Cucku Backup Pro users can run local, remote and partner backup
from the command line (CuckuCL.exe, by default in C:\Program Files\Cucku\Cucku Backup).
CuckuCL accepts any combination of the following parameters:
| -local | Run local backup using current settings.
|
| -verify | Verify all local and partner backup locations.
|
| -remote | Run remote backup using current settings.
|
| -partner | Allow backup partners to connect.
|
| -wait:N | Wait up to N minutes for remote/partner backup to complete (the default is one hour).
|
To just run local backup type "CuckuCL -local".
To run local backup, remote backup and allow partners to backup to
your computer type "CuckuCL -local -remote -partner". This
command will wait up to one hour for partners to connect. Once a
remote or partner backup is running CuckuCL will allow all backups to complete before it exits.
If you want to just host backups you could type "CuckuCL -partner -wait:240".
This command will start listening for partner connections and will wait up to four hours.
For remote and partner backups CuckuCL uses a Skype connection. This means
you must be logged in and connected to Skype when running CuckuCL.
You can use the task scheduler to run CuckuCL. For example you could agree
with a partner to both run CuckuCL at 10pm each night.
Run Cucku Backup to configure settings and to add backup partners. You cannot
run Cucku Backup and CuckuCL at the same time so you must exit Cucku Backup before
using the command line. If you intend to mainly backup from CuckuCL you
can prevent Cucku from starting with Windows on the
Advanced tab in Cucku Backup Settings.
