Export Backup Locations

Export allows you to send or give your backup to a partner without waiting for it to be sent over the Internet. After your partner has imported your backup you'll only need to send changed and new files in remote backup. Export can also be used to send a partner a copy of their backup if they need to restore files without waiting to download them from your computer.

First, choose the backup to export. Your backup exports your backup to a folder that you can send to any backup partner for import. You can also export a hosted backup to a backup partner (in this case the export can only be imported by that partner). Use this option if your partner needs to restore files.

After choosing the backup to export you can optionally choose which drives to include. In most cases you'll want to export all drives.

Finally, click Browse, choose an empty folder for the export and then click the Export button.

Once the export has completed send the entire contents of the export folder to your backup partner (or partners if you're using Cucku Backup Pro). You could burn the folder to a DVD, or copy it to a USB memory drive or portable hard drive. Ask your partner to run Cucku Backup and use the Import Locations feature to import the backup.
