Remove Files Wizard - Welcome

The remove files wizard lets you delete files that you no longer need from your backup without needing to start a new backup from scratch. Use this wizard if you need to free up some disk space or just want to tidy up your backup.

There are two ways to remove files. The first option is to remove files that are no longer included in your backup set. These files might still exist on your hard drive but you've decided not to backup them up any more.

The second option is to remove deleted files. These files are not on your hard drive any more but you still have a copy stored in your backup.

Choose which type of files to remove and click Next. You'll see a preview of files that will be removed before anything is changed. The remove files wizard only removes files from your backup, it never removes the original files from your hard drive.
