Automated, Remote Backup

Cucku first makes a local backup and then automatically creates and sends an encrypted copy of your data offsite to your backup partner for safekeeping.

In most cases, if you accidentally delete a file or folder or your hard drive dies, you can restore your files from the local backup Cucku created for you. If the worst happens and your precious files are lost to fire, theft, natural disaster, or a virus your remote backup ensures that you can recover your files from your partner.

Ease of Use

We realize that configuring backup software is a real hassle. Cucku automatically figures out what to backup, including email, bookmarks, open files and other vital data that you could overlook. Cucku then selects which files to backup and chooses the best place to store your backups. Of course you can also fine-tune every aspect of your backup.

Cucku Backup compresses and encrypts your files before sending them to your backup partner. Cucku backs up locally every day while you are not using your computer. It then sends a remote backup to your partner. If you change a file Cucku only sends the parts that are different so that your remote backup will complete as quickly as possible.

Complete Backup

Many backup strategies fail to protect open files or locked files. A common example is Outlook’s email files, critical for many of us. Cucku lets you backup these files without shutting down your email or other applications.

Laptop users who perform periodic backups to an external hard drive, once the laptop is “home”, can now backup even when the laptop is “on the move”, via an Internet connection.
