Local and Remote Backup

Cucku Backup is designed to provide first class local backup. Many online backup products don't allow you to backup network drives or even external hard drives. It's even common to skip local backup entirely, so unless you take the time to backup several different ways the online backup is your only protection against disaster.

We believe that remote backup is essential but not sufficient. Cucku lets you backup external drives and even network drives. If you have several hard drives your best possible protection is to backup between drives - files from your C: drive are stored on your D: drive and vice versa. Cucku will setup your backup this way automatically when possible. If you buy an external drive later it's also easy to move your backup over.

With this setup if you loose a single drive you can restore from the local backup. Of course if you loose everything you've still got the peace of mind that remote backup provides - Cucku will send backups from each drive to your backup partner.
